Instagram

I have always been envious of everyone's Instagram posts on Twitter. Whenever they show up, I would check them out. There's something so awesome about pictures. You're capturing a moment. Something that you find to be individually special, and sharing it with the world. So the other day, after careful consideration I signed up for instagram! Naturally, I had to play with the filters and find the ones I like best. Some people, I've noticed stick with a few and I was excited to see all the possibilities!

This truly opened up the summer to a world full of possibilities. I love documenting events with tons and tons of pictures. It usually annoys those around me. But buckle up! Expect big things ahead!

Happy Summer!

Long Weekend

So I went with my mom to the grocery store today, and we were going around the store and she said something about this being "a long weekend." And I couldn't help but think that these last 2 weeks or so of being home from school, on my official summer break, while others are still in school, made me feel like I've been living an extremely long weekend. I mean think about it, little responsibility, tanning, reading, and hanging out. That is what summer is to me. My month of freedom from anything definite to do is almost over. And while I'm SOOOO extremely excited for everyone to come home and for the pool to open, so I can start working, I'm just the slightest upset, cause that means I'm just that much closer to going back to school & the stress. So while everyone is so excited for Memorial Day Weekend, I'm just a little bit not... But I guess that's what I'm gonna need to work on, I always say that, I'm a worrier. And I need to calm myself, cause I'm the one stressing myself out. I need to know that everything will happen in do time. God doesn't ever deal you something you can't handle. He doesn't make mistakes, so if he's given you an obstacle in your life, he knows that you can handle it and prosper from it. So I just need to keep that in mind.

Have a good & safe weekend!
Happy Memorial Day!

Fan Favorite

This is what I do, with some help from friends, I find YouTube videos and wind up doing it ALL day long! It's quite fun and then I share with my family when they come home.

I seem to have weird obsessions, that if I start, I can't stop. For example: When I get it into my mind that I want to paint my nails, I can't stop thinking about it, until it actually happens. YouTube videos are the same, I won't stop searching until I am satisfied, which usually means I'm at it for hours.

That's what my summer has consisted of so far. I have gone to see one of my friends off to prom, I have gone to school with my mom. I took the family to get pedicures, I've put in my 4 volunteer hours at my job. I've read 2 books. I've unpacked and cleaned my room. I've been tanning in the backyard. Doing chores around the house. Simply just enjoying the time...

Now comes the problem, at night right before I would fall asleep, I get anxious. I have yet to find the reason, but it's upsetting, I have the worst anxiety, when it hits, it  really hits. I have to concentrate on my breathing and then just try and keep my head clear. I have an ever present difficulty with living in the moment and not obsessing over the past and the future. Memories keep me stuck and fear keeps me stuck. I just need to learn not to look too far forward, and just enjoy and live in the moment. Goal for the summer!

Goals:
1.) learn to relax
2.) learn to cook
3.) lose weight
4.) write, write, write

SUMMER!!!!!

I wish there was a good explanation for my absence, but.... IT'S SUMMER! So  sue me :) I have been thoroughly enjoying just being home. No stress of roommates, no more school stress. Simply just enjoying being home with my mom and sister! And boy oh boy, have we been having fun!!! We've been watching my favorite show , The Vampire Diaries, and having mini adventures. Not to mention, while they're at school, I sleep, tan and unpack! I've been slowly dwindling down my DVR recordings. Yes! Big things! My past school year was so tremendously unpsetting, I need this little down time! But I do miss my sisters, and friends from school. But as soon as everyone comes home for the summer, it'll be a blast!
